World Grid Drums are an independent manufacturer of drums from Melbourne. They specialise in Acrylic shells and were nice enough to give me the opportunity to have a play with some of their gear. First up I got to check out the Gravity Snare drum. Made of a clear white acrylic the drum is oh so see through, super funky and full of good surprises.

This particular beauty is a 13″x6″ with tube lugs, trick Gs 007 snare strainer and comes with Puresound Snare wires. Sounds killer so far and we haven’t hit it!

It also features 2.3mm triple flanged hoops and 20% offset lugs for high tension tuning. As standard it comes with an Evans G1 Coated head but as a bonus you get an Evans Hybrid head as shown in the photo (left).
