I recently had the chance to play around with a Gravity Snare Drum from Melbourne drum manufacturer World Grid Drums. Along with this comes the Aeon drum kit. The strikingly green (and see-through) acrylic drums grab your attention and make you oh so curious as to what they’ll sound like.

These drums are completely custom with some great features including Spiral acrylic polymer design for a change in shell resonance, 50 % offset on all lugs, choice of powder coated hardware in any colour, choice of Short stack shell configurations for fast attack or deep shell for classical use, choice of maple or metal bass drum hoops for studio or Gig use, 2.3 mm triple flange hoops unless otherwise specified, ISO mount hardware with Gauger Isolation mounts available as upgrade, choice of Evans, Remo, Aquarian skins from new and laser etched logos.

I think these drums hold their own on the gig and sound great – as you’ll hear in the review.
